Hobsons Bay Churches is all of the churches of the City of Hobsons Bay working together to share God's love with our community. We recognise that there is only one church in our city, with many congregations. The Head of that church is Jesus Christ.
Through Hobsons Bay Churches, the church in our city reflects both the oneness and the community that characterise the nature of our Living God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We seek to do those things together which are best done together. We seek to support each other in those things we do separately. We seek to love and respect each other in our commonality and our difference.
Pastors of Hobsons Bay Churches have covenanted together to mutually pastor our churches, and to care for each other in this task. They meet weekly for prayer and monthly for lunch to help them fulfil this ideal.
The pastors of Hobsons Bay have acknowledged the Hobsons Bay Intercessors, and provide covering for them as they support the work of the pastors and churches.
The churches of Hobsons Bay gather together regularly in events such as community Christmas Carols celebrations, Easter dawn services and prayer vigils, National Day of Thanksgiving, and other events arranged by the churches.
Hobsons Bay Churches is affiliated with the Awakening Movement, through Awakening West, which provides us with resources, ideas, insurance and training for running community festivals.
